The Solo riders started 5 minutes behind the Team riders, however the clock started at 9am when the teams went off- this is why the last lap for Paul Kavan and Krol is after 12:00.

12 Hours of St Pete /Finish Line Sprint and Crash from Graham Partain on Vimeo.
Thanks, Graham. Graham was filming all day, so there’s more where this came from.
First and foremost, thanks to everyone on the Skyway Cycling / 66 Cycling team who worked on the event, who gave up several months of Thursday nights for the planning.
Next, thanks to the volunteers who manned checkpoints, directed traffic, punched cards, and made sure it all worked. We couldn’t have pulled it off without you.
Thanks to the sponsors, they’re all listed in the right hand column, but especially Ferman Mini, Butler and Boyd PA, and the Pless Law Group.
But especially, thank you to all the riders and their support staffs who showed up, raced their hearts out, and (hopefully) had a great time. We doubled the number of riders from last year to this year- Amazing.
And of course, we thank our winners:

And hey, if you took some pictures, send us a link, and we’ll post them up here as well.
Paul Octopus Rozelle is a randoneur, which is a cycling event that makes our 12 hour look like a criterium. Last year, he did Paris – Brest – Paris, which goes from Paris to Brest on the Atlantic coast and then back to Paris. Look at it on the map- it’s 1200km or so. It wasn’t the first time he’s done PBP. He knows how to go far.
Some rain riding tips, in case it does the same thing on race day:
–”Wet” lube. Thick. Heavy. It’ll preserve your drivetrain a little better and you won’t have to listen to your drivetrain chirp when the rain stops.
We’re getting awful close to the best 12 hours of your life.
So close, in fact, that if you haven’t registered already, you only have 5 hours left to do it. The first 4 of those hours are at the Kick-Off Party at The Burg Bar and Grill on Central Avenue in St. Pete from 6 til 10pm on Friday, 8 June. The final hour will be on Saturday, 9 June, from 7 til 8 am, at the Race Start.
Please take a look at the Registered Riders list to make certain that you are on the correct team. Our website hasn’t been perfect, and we haven’t received all of the entries correctly. If you paid, but aren’t listed, please email us as soon as you can. If you are listed, but haven’t paid, please bring payment to the Kick-off party or the morning of the event. We prefer cash, but checks and cards will be accepted as well.
